About the Showrunners

Director – Sharla Ball
This is Sharla’s fourth time directing for The Attic Theatre. Her other directorials include The Philadelphia Story, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Little Women. When not backstage Sharla can be found performing on-stage. Her latest role was Truly in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. A few of her favorites also include Miss Bates – Emma, Belle – Beauty and the Beast, Helena – A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Witch 1 from Macbeth. In her free time, Sharla records audiobooks and edits books for her author friends. She also enjoys cooking, hiking, swimming, occasional trips to Disney and Universal Studios, and learning new board games with her brothers.

Assistant Director – Jenna Hobson
Jenna Hobson is thrilled to have the opportunity (as a first-time Assistant Director) to bring one of her favorite stories to the stage with Anne of Green Gables. Three years ago, she made her Attic Theatre debut as Hannah in Little Women, which was also directed by Sharla Ball, and she hasn’t stopped being involved in productions since. When not engrossed in the theatre world, Jenna enjoys spending time with her family, drinking coffee, singing all the songs, and reading. Ephesians 2:10

Stage Manager – Karyn Dekker
This is Karyn’s ninth production with The Attic Theatre. Surprisingly this is Karyn’s first experience with Anne of Green Gables. Previously Karyn was Mary Surratt in American Brutus, Aunt March in Little Women, Maud Dunlop in The Music Man, the stage manager in And Then There Were None, and Rheba in You Can’t Take it With You. When Karyn isn’t acting she’s busy raising 3 awesome kids, maintaining a household, gardening, hiking, and crafting. Her life desire is to honor and glorify God no matter what she does. Col. 3:23
